Camp History
Covenant Acres Camp was founded in 1984 by the Genesee Conference of the Free Methodist Church. At that time, the Genesee Conference encompassed churches from Jamestown to Niagara Fall to Rochester to Hornell. In 1984 Covenant Acres was used for children’s summer camp only. In the late 1980’s, Cedar Hall and Willow & Spruce Lodges were built to make Covenant Acres a Camp and Retreat Center. On June 5, 2002, Covenant Acres became incorporated as a 501(c)3 Not-for Profit organization as Covenant Acres Ministries, Inc. and is governed by a Board of Directors.
Today, Covenant Acres services all church denominations and independent churches in Western & Central New York, Pennsylvania and Ohio.
